1837 : Founded as "KUNOYA", a yarn store, in the city center of Edo, current Tokyo.
Later became an authorized merchant for a direct trade with the government of Shogun.

1913 : Built a braid factory in Osaki, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.

1935 : Established KIKUCHI SHOTEN, an unlimited partnership company.
Built Omori Factory in Yukigaya, Oota-ku, Tokyo.

1947 : Built Takada Factory in Takada, current Johetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.

1950 : Restructured and incorporated to KIKUCHI KOGYO CO., LTD.

1955 : Established Shizuoka Factory in Yoshida-Cho, Haibara-Gun, Shizuoka Prefecture.
Closed 2 factories of Omori and Takada.

1962 : Some Needle Looms were introduced after their trial adoption.

1964 : Registered to Japan Safety Appliances Association. Installed Heatsetting Unit.

1967 : Launched on the webbing production for car seat belts.

1970 : A governmental licence was given as a JIS (Japan Industrial Standard) approved factory for production of car seat belts.

1971 : Completed a building for dyeing factory.
Installed the 1st Automatic Continuous Dyeing Range in large size.

1972 : Installed the 2nd Automatic Continuous Dyeing Range in large size.
Expanding facilities with additional Needle Looms.

1973 : Completed a factory for weaving and processing.
Installed the waste water treatment facilities after dyeing process.

1974 : Trial adoption of the latest type of loom. Installed a sewing machine for Lashing Belt.

1975 : Licensed by the Australian Safety Standards Association (AS).

1977 : Expansion for warehouse, welfare facilities, etc. Completed surrounding greenery.

1978 : Enlarged the Testing Department by expanding the dyeing laboratory.

1979 : Installed a dyeing testing machine. Trial adoption of the latest type of loom.

1980 : Extended the lab and the warehouse.
Additionally installed a new model loom and a high-speed cam sewing machine.

1982 : Installed the yarn-winding machine, and adopted the Computer-Operated Color Matching System.

1983 : Installed an ultrasonic welder, and new type of cutting machines.

1985 : Installed the 3rd Continuous Dyeing Range.

1986 : The latest model of Needle Looms installed further.

1989 : The 4th Automatic Continuous Dyeing Range installed.

1990 : Extended the dyeing factory.

1991 : Developed a world-innovated Spiral-Running Continuous Dyeing Range as a utility model.

1992 : Installed an automated warehouse for semi-finished products.
Expanded an entrance hall, and made an exhibition room.
Developed our new product "ROPBELT", the belt in rope shape.
Also our new product "WELDABELT", the belt for sheet welding.

1993 : Our Head Office was moved to Shizuoka Factory, and renamed as "Head Office and Factory".
Developed the Direct Creel System equipped with Yarn Twisting Function as a utility model.

1996 : Established KIKUCHI NARROW FABRIC (THAILAND) CO., LTD. in Thailand, and started its webbing production for car seat belts.
Acquired the International Patents on "ROPBELT" and "WELDABELT" mentioned above.
Also acquired the International Patent on the Direct Creel with Yarn Twisting Function.

1997 : Acquired the International Patent on Spiral-Running Continuous Dyeing Machine.

2001 : Acquired ISO 9001 for car seat belts.

2006 : Approved as the Authorized Supplier for GM.

2007 : Approved as the Authorized Supplier for Chrysler. (Received Chrysler Textile No.)
Developed the Automatic Inspection Machine as an inner utility model.

2008 : Developed the Laser Cutting Machine as an inner utility model.

2009 : Approved as the Authorized Supplier for Volkswagen.
